Fruit Punch

From Guatemala

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pineapple
  • 1 Papaya
  • 2 Apples
  • 2 Plantains
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 Cup dried plums
  • 1 Slice cinnamon Spice
  • 1 Clove
  • 4 Whole peppers (allspice)
  • 1 Cup Sugar (you can also use panela / piloncillo)
Recipe:
  1. Wash and peel the pineapple. Keep the peels and cut the pineapple into small pieces, without the heart.
  2. Boil 3 liters of water in a pot. Add the pineapple peels, 1 slice of cinnamon, 1 clove, 4 peppers (allspice) and a cup of sugar (alternatively you can use panela or piloncillo to sweeten).
  3. Cover the pot and boil for 15 minutes.
  4. Wash and cut apples into small pieces. Repeat this step with papaya and bananas.
  5. Remove the pineapple peels, cloves and pepper from the pot. Add all ingredients in small pieces to the pot and add a teaspoon of salt.
  6. Cover the pot and boil for 45 minutes.
  7. Open the pot and stir before serving
